Ronald W. Miller passed peacefully at age 90 on November 6th 2013 with his family by his side. He is survived by his wife Nicole, three children; Marc, David and Monique, and three grandchildren; Lauren Miller, Nicholas & Zachary Pacewicz. He was preceded in death by his son Clifford.

Ronald was a World War II veteran, in which he served as a Pilot in the United States Army Air Force. It was during this time (1945) that he met his wife, Nicole, in Paris France. They were married 67 wonderful years.

Ronald W. Miller, 1966Ronald graduated from Oakland High School [Class of 1941] and received a Degree in Social Studies/History from U.C. Berkeley. He later returned to teach Social Studies and Humanities at Oakland High for 30 years. He had a deep commitment to learning and his students who benefited greatly from his passion. Ronald loved all things French (including his wife), Bridge (he was a Life Master), and Golf (shot his age at 80). His passion for teaching led him to teach bridge after he retired from the Oakland School System.

Ronald's family will be celebrating his life on Nov. 23 at 11:00am at The First Presbyterian church, 180 Estudillo Ave, San Leandro, CA 94577, Ph# 510-483-2772. We encourage anyone who knew Ron to attend and celebrate with us.
