HOYT, Mollyjean Bohon
Mollyjean Bohon Hoyt, 89, of North Highlands, died November 26, 2014 of natural causes. Molly, as she was known, was born to Noble and Ruth Adele Willey Bohon in Alameda, Calif., and graduated from Oakland High School. She raised her children in Sacramento, and worked as a bookkeeper for several small businesses in the Sacramento area. In 1967 Molly married Raymond Hoyt, and together they enjoyed life to the fullest. They were very involved with the Shriners, raising money for Shriners Hospitals and developing many lifelong friendships along the way. They also traveled with their grandchildren, taking trips to Disneyland and the Pacific Coast. She lived in her North Highlands neighborhood for 47 years, where many neighbors were the recipients of her kindness and concern. She kept active playing golf, and won many amateur tournament trophies. She was also a wonderful artist, working in folk art and china painting, and was a member of a painting group for over 25 years. Molly will be remembered for her strength, her warmth, and her unending generosity, as well as her sharp wit and wonderful laugh. She was truly one-of-a-kind, and will be missed greatly. She is survived by her brother, Richard Bohon and his children; her sisters, Suzan Requa and Kathy Selser and their children; her children, Thomas Bliss and Donna Krieg; her step-children, Raymond Hoyt III and Robin Atkins; her grandchildren, Greg Bliss, Adam Krieg, Justin Krieg, Sarah Bliss, Emily Krieg, and Cyrus Bliss; 11 great-grandchildren; and many, many friends and neighbors. At her request, no services will be held, but there will be a party for friends and family in the spring.
