Stanley Carl Jacobsen Stanley Carl Jacobsen A recipient of the mercy of his savior, Jesus Christ, went to be with the Lord he loved and served faithfully for more than 80 years. He passed away on August 20, 2015, at age 90, at home in Puyallup.

Stanley, the son of Hans and Margit Jacobsen, was born on April 15, 1925 in Seattle, Washington. He attended school in California and graduated from Oakland High in 1943. Stanley served his country overseas in the US Army during the Second World War. After discharge from the service, he attended Northwest College in Seattle. While a student, in 1947 he married Evelyn Johnson in Kelso, WA. Stanley was ordained by the Assemblies of God for the ministry and served as pastor at several churches.

Stanley was preceded in death by his parents, and daughter Judy Schmick. Stanley is survived by his wife of 68 Years, Evelyn; son and daughter-in-law Daniel and Nancy Jacobsen of Snohomish, WA; daughter and son-in-law Patricia and David Halinen of Tacoma, WA; son and daughter-in-law Douglas and Cyndy Jacobsen of Puyallup, WA; sister and brother-in-law Ellen and Ray Dell of Palm Desert, CA; and fifteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

A funeral service for Stanley will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, August 27, 2015 in the Aspen Chapel at Mountain View Memorial Park, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd. SW, Lakewood, WA, with a reception to follow.
