LeROY JOHN LUBRATICH


May 12, 1925 - August 1, 2002

LeRoy John Lubratich, 1943 Born in Oakland, California on May 12, 1925. Died in San Ramon, California on August 1, 2002. He was a resident of Danville. He was the adored husband of Margaret: idolized father of John Lubratich (Valerie) of Danville, CA; and Steven Lubratich (Deborah) of Lee, New Hamphire. He was the beloved grandfather of Brandt, Brent, Natalie, and Scott Lubratich. He was preceded in death by his parents, Trisha and Olga Lubiratich and his sister Jean Lubratich Allaire.

He graduated from Oakland High in 1943 and St. Mary's College in 1950. He was in the Army's 136th Infantry Regiment, fighting in the Pacific Theater from 1943 - 1946. He received the Purple Heart after being wounded in battle in the Phillipines. He worked for Safeway Stores for 36 years, retiring in 1986.

He was a member of D.A.V.; Masonic Lodge #551 in Castro Valley and Sirs Branch 6 of San Leandro where he was a past Big Sir. He was active at St. Timothy's Episcopal Church in Danville.

A Memorial and Burial Service will be held at St. Timothy's Episcopal church, 1550 Diablo Rd., Danville, CA on Saturday, August 10th at 1:00 pm.
