Joaquin William Silveira

Joaquin was a lifetime Oakland resident & graduate of Oakland High School, class of 1943.
Preceded in death by his loving wife of 59 years, Barbara O. Silveira, sister, Rose Sunseri, as well as his parents, Joaquin Antonio & Edna Fay Silveira.
Survived by his two children, Bill & Brian Silveira, daughter in-law, Cheryl B. Silveira, two grandchildren, Samuel & P.J. Silveira, along with numerous cousins in California's Central Valley.
An airplane mechanic during World War II, a lifelong entrepreneur with a passion for making a deal, a longtime member of the Oakland Real Estate Board, as well as numerous car clubs; "J.W." will be fondly missed by many people from all walks of life.
Celebration of life to begin on Thursday, February 19th at 10:00 a.m. followed by lunch and cocktails at 12:00 p.m. at the Sequoyah Country Club 4550 Heafey RD. Oakland, CA 94605. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations go to the Oakland Zoo in care of J.W. & Barbara Silveira.
