Paul H. Salsgiver

Paul H. Salsgiver, Sr. Nov. 7, 1927 - Dec. 27, 2003 Paul was 76 years old at his passing, from complications derived from his heroic 18 year fight with diabetes. Born in Sacramento, CA but has resided the past 31 years in Danville, CA. Paul was raised in Indiana, Pennsylvania and later in Oakland, California. He graduated from Oakland High School in December, 1945. Following graduation he served two years in the US Army. He worked in and around the wholesale grocery business for most of his career and retired from Fleming Foods in 1987. He was a member of the Masonic Order for over 50 years and achieved third degree status. Paul's hobbies included the collecting of coins and clown memorabilia. He also was an avid golfer and fisherman while he was still able to pursue those sports. He was a lifelong Giant and 49er fan. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Georgia Salsgiver; children and their spouses Paul Jr. and Linda, Karen Beck and Barnaby, and Corinne Flanigan and Danny. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren, Summer, Scott, Courtney, Brittany, Jake, Derek, and one great-grandchild, Michael. Paul will be greatly missed by all. There will be no services.
