Pauline, age 89, passed away peacefully in her home in Alameda, CA. She was the beloved wife of Harry Chew for 69 years. She is survived by Harry, son Tom Chew (Monique) and daughter Kathy Yamamoto (Gregg), grandchildren Tyler Chew (Kaili), Ezekiel Chew-Hodges, Scott, Jacob and Megan Yamamoto, and great granddaughter Tahira.

Pauline KongShe was born in San Francisco, raised in Oakland, and was a graduate of Oakland High. She attended Oakland Chinese Presbyterian Church where she met Harry. She dedicated years in social work and outreach to help the Chinese community in both Oakland and San Francisco.

Pauline and Harry spent many years skiing, playing tennis, hosting lively social gatherings, and traveling the world with numerous friends and family. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, August 18, 2017 at 2pm at the Chapel of the Chimes, 4499 Piedmont Ave, Oakland, CA.
