Of San Leandro, died peacefully at home on April 11, 2005, at the age of 74.
He was born May 5, 1930, in Ukiah and graduated from Oakland High School in 1948 and Laney Trade
School. He served in the Air Force on both active duty and reserve status for three years. Dean
worked as a repairman for Packard Bell for two years. He retired from Lawrence Livermore Laboratory
after 35 years. He and his wife, Beverly, were active members of the Lakeshore Avenue Baptist Church.
In his retirement he actively served Lakeshore Church and various Baptist organizations as a financial
officer. With his quiet demeanor he unselfishly supported his church community and his family.
