Lorelei Louise Tolvtvar
Resident of Pleasanton,
Lorelei, 76 passes peacefully, in the presence of family on February 1, 2012. Lorelei was born in San Francisco, CA on April 12, 1935 to Stanley and Leona Lindberg. She grew up in Oakland, CA with her stepfather and mother Paul and Leona Hodon. Lorelei graduated from Oakland High School in 1954 and then worked on the Treasure Island Naval Base as a secretary. During that time, she was active in the USO where she met the love of her life, W.C. (Bill) Tolvtvar. She was married on June 15, 1957 and began her married life in Hayward, CA and then moved to Pleasanton, CA in 1972. She was the loving mother to Daniel, Ronald, and Liane. She was an artist and crafter, and enjoyed collecting anything with butterflies, dancing, and listening to music from the Big Band era. She also enjoyed being active with the Pleasanton Senior Center in her later years.
Lorelei was preceded in death by her parents and her infant daughter Bernadine. She is survived by her husband Bill Tolvtvar of Rancho Cordova, CA; sons Daniel (Roberta) Tolvtvar of Fairfield, CA and Ronald Tolvtvar of Brooklyn Center, MN; daughter Liane (Russell) Sousa of Rancho Cordova, CA; grandsons Christopher Tolvtvar of Puyallup, WA, Jason Tolvtvar of Santa Clara, CA, Matthew Sousa of Rancho Cordova, CA; and granddaughter Nicole Tolvtvar of Fairfield, CA.
