Margaret Powell, 72, of Newport Beach, passed away on December 17th, 2015. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Jim; sons Jeff (45), and Jeremy (37); grandchildren, Jimmy (11), and Billy (8); and two nieces, Mary Romero and Lisa Siedenburg. Born in Berkeley, CA in 1943, Margaret was a graduate of San Jose State University. She spent the last forty years of her life in Newport Beach where she made many friends who will miss her cheerful spirit, warm smile, and supportive friendship. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation of Orange County. Their website will give you donation information. A celebration of life service will be held at Grace Community Church in Newport Beach in January, 2016.
