Patricia L. Papachristos passed away at Eden Hospital on April 23, after battling a variety of serious health issues for several years. Her husband, Zack, was at her bedside when she passed. Mrs. Papachristos is survived by her husband Zack. She is also survived by her sister, Sylvia, and two nieces.

Patricia L. PoirierPat was born June 17, 1943, in Albany, Ca. She was an honors graduate from Oakland High School. She attended Chabot College in Hayward where she received an A.A. degree in psychology. Mrs. Papachristos was an honors graduate from California University, East Bay, where she earned B.A. and M.A. degrees in psychology. Pat was particularly proud of the acceptance by the faculty of her thesis on "Music As An Adjunct to Psychotherapy: A Review of the Literature".

Pat was employed at Holy Names College in the counseling department prior to her illness. Pat expressed her artful and entrepreneurial spirit in the creation of "The House of Wreath" which catered to an exclusive clientele. Patricia's interests included artwork, traveling and reading. She was an ardent movie fan from a historical perspective. Before her illness, Pat loved to travel to Tahoe and Carmel with her husband. She was her husband's biggest fan during his coaching career at Canyon High School and Chabot College.

A memorial service will be held at Jess C. Spencer Mortuary, 21228 Redwood Road, Castro Valley, on Friday, May 9th at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Eden Hospital Foundation in her honor.
