MIDLAND [North Carolina] - Paulette Slagle, 62, of 10714 Flowe Store Road, Midland, passed away on Oct. 24, 2009, at Presbyterian Hospital Matthews in Matthews. She was born in Oakland, Calif., on Oct. 6, 1947. Paulette Slagle was preceded in death by her mother, Lena Baggie, and her father, Leonard Baggie. A visitation will be held on Monday, Oct. 26, 2009, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hartsell Funeral Home, Midland. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2009, at 4 p.m., with the Rev. Jeff Springer officiating. Paulette Slagle is survived by her son, Richard Slagle, of Midland; her sister, Rosemary Contreras, of California; and her brothers, George Baggie, of Oakboro, and Victor Jermanon, of California.
