Master Luther Otto Secrease was born January 15, 1950 to the parents of Arlenar and Luther Secrease, Sr. in Batron, Louisiana. He departed this life September 29, 2008.

He grew up in the Bay Area where he attended Roosevelt Junior High and Oakland High School.

Master Secrease began his involvement in Tae Kwon Do in 1969 and a few years later he began teaching throughout the entire Peralta College system. He became a very successful, nationally ranked fighter up until his retirement from active competition in 1980. Master Secrease devoted his life to martial arts and his students. He taught in Berkeley , Ca. for over 25 years.
