Robert Louis Butier, Sr. Jan. 21, 1926 Feb. 21, 2011 Resident of Walnut Creek Robert passed away at John Muir Hospital, Concord. He was born in Oakland where he lived until 2001. Robert was an excellent professor, teaching for many years, the last 31 at Laney College, retiring in 2001. A World War II Veteran and a loving father, he earned his B.A. and M.A. from University of California, Berkeley, Phi Beta Kappa.

His friends and family will always remember and treasure his unconditional love, humor, intelligence, and thoughtful friendship. He will be missed by his sister Patricia Accomazzo, his daughter Lisā, "foster daughter" Agnes, nephews, niece and many close friends.
