Born in Fair Oaks, CA on Sept. 16, 1922. Ellis passed away in Walnut Creek, CA at age 90 with his family by his side. He lived a very fulfilling life. He served in the US Army during WWII and Korea. He graduated from U.C. Berkeley with a Master's Degree in English and taught at Oakland High school for over 35 years. He also authored several books and was a regular contributor to the MOAA Sacramento Trumpet. He was married to Patricia Mullen for over 43 years until her passing in 1989. He is survived by; his sister Mary, three living children Marty, Marlene and Leannette, his seven grandchildren, his twelve great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild. Ellis was admired and loved by all and will be missed very much. A brief funeral service at St Mary's cemetery in Sacrament will be held on Sat. Sept. 15, 2012 at 11:00 am.<
