Adviser at Oakland High Dies

Karl K. Cooperrider, long-time teacher and student government adviser at Oakland High School, died last night in Kaiser Hospital.

Mr. Cooperrider 56, suffered an accidental fall several weeks ago, and died of his injuries.

A native of Palo Alto, Mr. Cooperrider had been at Oakland High School since 1936 as a music and English teacher.

He was a member of the Montclair Presbyterian Church, where he was formerly choir director and an elder.

Surivors include his widow, Dorothy, of 6158 Thornhill Drive; a son, Timonthy, of San Jose; two brothers, Kenneth of Menlo Park and Verne of Seattle' and a sister, Mrs. Clare Brundson of Upper Darby, Pa.

Memorial services will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Montclair Presbyterian Church, 5701 Thornhill Drive.

Burial arrangements were made with Wilson & Kratzer Mortuaries of Richmond.
