Richard E. Lotter

Richard E. Lotter June 20, 1918 ~ Nov. 28, 2008 Former Walnut Creek Resident Richard, also known as "Dick," went to be with the Lord after faithfully serving Him on earth for many years. Dick was born in Berkeley, CA, June 20, 1918. He was the eldest of three sons born to Theodore and Gladys Lotter of Alameda. He is survived by his two brothers Herb Lotter of Westminster, California and Will Lotter of Davis, California. Dick married his high school sweetheart Annabelle Siegler on April 27, 1941 and they had four children, Nancy, Patty, Sally and Mark. Preceded in death by his beloved wife, his daughter Patty and son Mark, he spent his time with daughters Nancy Pewitt of Vacaville, Sally Goonan of Pleasant Hill and his many treasured grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. His greatest joys were his walk with God and his family. Even though he suffered from dementia later in life, his sweetness and his ability to quote scripture remained. He will be missed by all. A memorial celebration will be held on Thursday, December 11th at 4:30 at First Covenant Church, 4000 Redwood Road, Oakland. Memorial contributions to a favorite charity, in lieu of flowers, are suggested.
